The Great Tapestry Of Scotland

On May 18th, the Nairn contribution to the Great Tapestry of Scotland was put on display at Nairn Museum before it was moved to the Parliament Building at Holyrood.

Over 200 visitors came to the museum on the day to view the panel.

The Nairn panel theme was the Highland and
Lowland clearances.

Evelyn and Sheena (a Museum volunteer).

The tapestry was the brainchild of Alexander McCall Smith. 170 panels from all over Scotland are to be hung initially in the Scottish Parliament building, possibly in September.
